A Little History Behind Soccer 2000
Soccer 2000 originated in Oak Brook, IL approximately 20 years ago. Our family, the Koenig family, bought the company in 1994 from its previous owner. As the sport of soccer continued to grow in the 90's, we found we needed more space to offer a more enjoyable shopping atmosphere for all of our customers. In the year 2000, we relocated our store establishing a new home base in Downers Grove, IL.
Soon after establishing a new home in DG, Soccer 2000 recognized the need to open up an off site warehouse to service the demand from our team business - club, high school, college, etc. The warehouse employed a seperate staff outside of our retail staff to process all team orders.
Present day -- after 10 years being at 136 Ogden Ave, we continue to recognize the evolving changes in our market and saw the need to bring both our retail and team warehouse together. Our current address - 224 Ogden Ave, Downers Grove - now houses both our retail store and our team warehouse. We are committed to providing each and every customer a shopping experience which still revolves around service. If you aren't happy, we aren't happy.
Soccer 2000 has established our company as being one of the most respected soccer specialty stores in the state of Illinois. This respect certainly does not come without some trial and error. We are always looking for ways to make the experience at Soccer 2000 enjoyable each and every visit.
