A Little History Behind Soccer 2000
Soccer 2000 originated in Oak Brook, IL approximately 20 years ago. Our family, the Koenig family, bought the company in 1994 from its previous owner. As the sport of soccer continued to grow in the 90's, we found we needed more space to offer a more enjoyable shopping atmosphere for all of our customers. In the year 2000, we relocated our store and established a new home base in Downers Grove, IL.
Our current Downers Grove location boasts nearly 4,000 square feet of retail space dedicated strictly to soccer. We previously have dabbled into various other sports however we found it necessary we focused on the sport we have grown up playing, coaching, and watching. A commitment of such magnitude is channeled to you as a customer so you can be assured a personable experience.
Today, Soccer 2000 has established our company as being one of the most respected soccer specialty stores in the state of Illinois. This respect certainly does not come without some trial and error. We are always looking for ways to make the experience at Soccer 2000 enjoyable each and every visit.
